Your degree opens up the prospect of future-oriented technologies, materials and concepts – but this does not (yet) play a role in your everyday reality? If there is no lack of technical expertise, what is the problem with transferring this know-how to the social, political, economic, ecological (etc.) environment?
The gap between the Sustainable Development Goals, which we as a global community want to achieve in the coming years in order to enable a liveable and peaceful future, and the reality of our lives is huge. If we ask ourselves how we as individuals and collectively can make a contribution towards achieving these major goals, we can rely on our individual skills and strengths:
The scientifically based framework of the Inner Development Goals (IDG) offers concrete impulses here to strengthen and further develop certain skills and competencies for ourselves. Inner growth – in awareness, attitude and action – also leads to external change.
In the workshop, you will get to know the IDGs and identify your individual development goals. Using the creative Lego® Serious Play® method, we get into “thinking with our hands”: we literally build models based on your personal IDGs that visualize your desire for change and make it tangible. Reflection phases and joint discussions will help you to consider concrete steps as to which (mini) changes you can initiate – and how.

In my work at the Perspectives Lab of the House of Competence, I deal with scope for action: for shaping the working world of tomorrow, for meaning- and value-oriented action, for good leadership as a conscious attitude towards oneself and others. In all of this, the Inner Development Goals help as a kind of compass through the transformation jungle.
