Writing in a team is a requirement that you will encounter in the course of your studies, in university research and in your career. Working on a text together is both an opportunity and a challenge.

In the online course, you will learn how to use both for yourself and your writing group by getting to know different writing behaviors and their respective strengths. You will deal with the criteria of academic writing and receive concrete instructions on how to fulfill them in a team. Using practical exercises, you will learn how to make the joint writing process productive and how to clearly define topics. Knowledge of the basics of good communication in a group will enable you to develop a topic together in discussion and think it through further. After completing the online course, you will be able to independently organize a writing project in the group, resulting in a scientific text with consistent content and style.

The online course is suitable both for groups facing a joint writing task and for individuals who want to learn techniques for collaborative work on a text. The target group is students from all subject areas.

Please note the following information for the winter semester 2024/25:

The online course starts with an approx. 30-minute introduction via MS Teams on 08.11.24 at 09:30. You can work on the course as a group or will be assigned to a group after this introduction. A second online appointment on 15.11.24 at 09:30 will give you the opportunity to clarify questions about group formation and assignments. You can access the content of the online course at your own pace.
