Most people have probably gained some experience with generative AI by now. Many already use chatbots routinely in their everyday lives. In the future, life, study, and work will take place in an AI-dominated world. What should we fear, what should we hope for? Do we welcome this development? Can we influence it? Based on selected, exciting, and profound text excerpts (in German and English), students from Konstanz and Karlsruhe discuss a wide range of AI topics (technology, humans, intelligence, psychology, creativity, education, information, work, competition, capitalism, democracy, and much more) in weekly online sessions (2 SWS). In addition to 3 ETCS credits (graded or ungraded), the course provides many new thought-provoking ideas and insights into the future topic of AI.
Workload in ECTS
3 ECTS: Reading the seminar texts in preparation for the sessions,
active participation in the sessions (online),
one-time: giving a presentation (individually or as a group, duration: approx. 30 minutes),
one-time: one-page reflection report (personal results) after completion of the course
