In order to achieve individual (learning) goals more effectively, participants can acquire knowledge about self-learning processes and strategies. Individual experimentation, continuous reflection and the exchange of ideas about one’s own learning process can enable effective control.The seminar offers the opportunity to try out self-management on an upcoming academic achievement.

Admission requirements:

–A course assignment that can be worked on in parallel.

–Sufficient knowledge of German to participate in group work and through oral contributions.

Learning objectives:

–Understand and apply self-management.

–Critically assess learning methods and apply them appropriately to the situation.

–reflect on, analyze and effectively control learning processes.

Workload for ECTS:

2 ECTS: Attendance at all seminar dates, active participation in the seminar and in the implementation of exercises, application and reflection of methods.

3 ECTS: Attendance at all seminar dates, active participation in the seminar and in the implementation of exercises and group work, application and reflection of methods, preparation of a reflection report.

 

Lecturer:

Friederike Petri-Ouani is a pedagogue (MA) and currently works as a teacher at a vocational school. She is doing her doctorate at the House of Competence learning lab on the subject of self-regulated learning.
