This seminar gives you an overview of various orientation aids and helps you to develop a better understanding of your career aspirations and opportunities. The seminar provides you with specific support in

• identify your core competencies
• understand what interests and drives you
• make optimal use of orientation offers such as the KIT career fair
• discover what opportunities the job market offers you
• explore career options with practical job-finding strategies

 

You develop an action plan and use the offers of the KIT career fair for your further orientation. The reflection meeting gives you the opportunity to categorize the insights you have gained and plan your next steps.

Work expenditure:

1 ECTS:

• Active participation in the one-day workshop (30.04.2025) with preparation task
• Implementation of the measures developed in the workshop / visit to the KIT career fair in the period between the one-day workshop and the reflection meeting
• Participation in the reflection meeting (26.06.2025)

 

Lecturer:

As an experienced employee of the KIT Career Service, Sabine Reiser supports KIT students and graduates in developing effective strategies for a successful transition from university to professional life. Her focus is on the topics of professional profile building and orientation as well as individual preparation for the application process. With several years of professional experience in the private sector and continuous exchange with companies, she has valuable insights into the specific requirements that employers place on young professionals and is happy to pass on this knowledge.
