Stress levels among students are steadily increasing. Students are increasingly suffering from chronic stress with symptoms like exhaustion, inner tension, nervousness or insomnia. Stress prevention and stress management as well as time and self-management are getting more important for students.
Main topics of the seminar are:
- Causes and effects of stress
- Recognizing and avoiding typical stress factors in your daily life
- Importance of goals, values, and attitude as well as patterns in your personal thoughts and behavior
- Setting limits and being able to say No
- Methods and techniques for time and learning management
- Introduction to several relaxation methods
Entry Requirements:
Sufficient German level to participate in discussions and group work. The seminar is open to students of all subjects.
Learning Objectives:
The seminar aims to teach students methods, techniques, and information for stress prevention and management that allow them to recognize stress factors, improve their handling of study requirements and time pressure, and have a more relaxed study experience. The participants get an introduction to several relaxation methods.
Work Expenditure:
2 ECTS: Attendance, active participation and doing homework.
3 ECTS: Attendance, active participation, homework and writing a reflection.
Lecturer:
As a business administrator, trainer for stress/time management and mindfulness as well as systemic coach, I offer seminars on stress- and timemanagement as well as personality development at the HoC. My great passion is positive psychology, my sources of inspiration are my family, nature, books and good conversations.
