Are you studying engineering at KIT and interested in an exchange with engineers at Campus North? With their work in technical infrastructure (e.g. facility management), they keep the university running. Together with staff and students, you can get to know the working world of engineers and work on challenges that characterize everyday life in the engineering professions: Planning and managing buildings, technical systems and energy supply in the area of conflict between sustainability and economic efficiency; attracting and motivating employees in times of a shortage of skilled workers;generational diversity in the workplace; healthy self-management.

Various impulses and formats from and with employees such as group work to develop concrete ideas on various topics of the working world at KIT, self-reflection and a tour of the North Campus will bring you closer to your university as an employer. Perhaps you will be interested in more and then start at KIT, e.g. with an internship, a HiWi job or as a trainee?

This workshop is primarily aimed at engineering students.

In KIT Infrastructure, engineers from various fields of study, such as economics, civil engineering, electrical engineering and others, work in a variety of tasks such as building management, energy supply, building planning, waste management, etc.

Work Expenditure:

2 ECTS: Active participation in the 1.5 days and afterwards:

• Preparation of a short written transfer reflection on one of the topics or
• in-depth informal discussion with one of the KIT employees.

 

Lecturer:

The workshop is a joint project of the House of Competence (HoC) and KIT Facility Management and is organized by various KIT employees.
