Based on e-learning modules and face-to-face sessions, the course provides an important foundation for writing academic papers. It is interdisciplinary, but focuses on the STEM subjects.
One of the aims of the course is to write a professional research exposé using systematic literature research.
Another focus is on critical feedback of existing scientific texts. Tips on the writing process round off the course.

Lecturers:
Andreas Hirsch-Weber is head of the writing lab at the House of Competence. He specializes in writing skills, information skills, good scientific practice and skills development through e-learning. He is active in the development of teaching and research concepts as well as consulting services and writing science research with a focus on STEM subjects and curricular and interdisciplinary writing teaching.
Dr. Alexandra Axtmann is an art historian and has been a research assistant in the Research Services Department of the KIT Library since 2019. As part of the RDM@KIT service team, she coordinates consultations and training courses on research data management at KIT.
