The PERMA-Lead leadership approach originates from positive psychology and provides orientation for strength-oriented self- and team leadership. PERMA-Lead stands for the factors “Positive Emotions”, “Engagement”, “Relationships”, “Meaning”, “Accomplishment” and “Lead”.

The workshop is based on the scientific foundation of the PERMA-Lead model – however, the focus is on the concrete experience of the PERMA factors: throughout the day, group and reflection tasks are worked on in nature, which relate to the use of one’s own resources and strengths for personal development and promote interaction in groups in the context of leadership. The focus is also on the participants’ own experiences of leadership to date.

The aim is to strengthen self-leadership skills: self-awareness in nature reflects one’s own behaviour and helps to recognize “new” or “different” possibilities for one’s own actions. In this way, a sensitization for self-observation and the ability to reflect is stimulated, which is helpful to understand group dynamic processes and to learn to assess the impact of one’s own behaviour on the team and the results.

The one-day workshop will take place in Karlsruhe Palace Gardens, whatever the weather (meeting point: back of the palace near the palace café). Please remember to dress appropriately for the weather.

Workload for ECTS:

1 ECTS: consists of preparation and follow-up work.

Preparation: becoming aware of your own strengths and how to use them in everyday life (professional, private).

Follow-up:

• Use accompanied script / photo protocol as a basis for the reflective process for the portfolio.
• Create a portfolio: A reflective examination of the experiences of the workshop, the observation of one’s own actions and their impact on one’s own work-learning processes as well as group dynamic processes. Setting goals for your own personal development as a common thread on the path to leadership.
• An online practice transfer appointment to follow up on the experiences and the scientific transfer into practice.

   

Lecturer:

Barbara Kleditzsch trains and advises teams, employees, managers and entire organizations in terms of positive leadership. Teaching PERMA-Lead as a leadership approach and using it effectively plays a central role in her daily work.
