Overview/Objectives:
From surfboard to sailing ship: what you need to go from lone wolf to confident crew member or even captain. We will provide you with knowledge, exercises and tools so that you can move safely in groups and also feel comfortable doing so because you (know) the dynamics and potential for conflict.

- Theory: cooperative rhetoric (Bartsch et al.), motivational interviewing (Miller & Rollnick), non-violent communication (Rosenberg), team model (Tuckman), transactional analysis (Berne et al.), KASSIRI (body-voice-breathing, Berndonner).

Lecturer:
Michael Berndonner is a deep-sea skipper, has crossed the Atlantic twice in a sailing ship together with his wife and 6 children. As a studied communication coach and trainer, he draws exciting parallels to everyday academic and professional life. However, not only as part of a sailing crew, but also in his international professional work, he has learned a lot about group dynamic processes or difficulties and how to solve them in the context of crisis/conflict management.
