During studies, when writing a graduation thesis, or at work, creativity to solve problems and develop new ideas, concepts, or products is a valuable skill that often is in high demand. The present workshop focuses on how creativity can be used systematically and specifically to create something new and to overcome obstacles. Which factors favor the creative process, how can solutions be approached creatively, which creativity techniques exist to find new ways and generate ideas alone or in a team. These questions will be addressed by the workshop. In the end, participants will have an understanding of the effective use of creativity during studies and at work. In selected exercises, various methods will be tested and applied in order to understand and assess which method is suited for reaching a specific target.

Lecturer:
Dominic Eberhardt has been passionately working as Brand Strategy Director for Germany’s most successful creative brand consultancy for 4 years. Here he advises organizations – from leading DAX-30 companies to start-ups – on the positioning, design and communication of their brand. Creativity is his daily business, helping companies launch new products and services and understand foreign markets. He mediates between designers, marketers and managers and can thus comprehensively reflect the added value of creativity in everyday professional life.
