What exactly is “social entrepreneurship”? Why do social enterprises provide solutions to social and environmental challenges that traditional business models and NGOs cannot address? How do society and the economy change when entrepreneurial thinking combines social impact and economic viability?
In this block seminar, we will look at the theories, models, principles and forms of financing of social entrepreneurship. And we will get into action: What challenges excite you to develop entrepreneurial ideas? We will test out the untapped potential in your own specialist discipline and how it could be transformed into meaningful “products” using your existing resources: Practically tangible and with team and entrepreneurial spirit. Central elements are the development of a theory of change and the first steps in the conception of a product or service that creates social added value.
