Group work is annoying? Collaborative learning is ineffective? This workshop shows ways in which collaborative learning can increase knowledge acquisition and be fun at the same time.
The workshop is aimed both at teams that are already working together and at students who are looking for learning partners and want to learn together.
Working as a learning group on a common goal, you will be provided with a selection of collaborative learning methods to construct your learning outcome together and thus develop a deeper understanding of the learning content.
If you want to work together with different content and goals, you will learn methods to support and guide each other effectively in the learning process.
Entry requirements:
- Sufficient knowledge of German to participate in group work and through oral contributions.
- Interest in working in a subject-specific or interdisciplinary group during the workshops. All disciplines are welcome!
Learning objectives:
- Critically evaluate cooperative/collaborative learning methods and apply them appropriately to the situation in order to improve the joint learning outcome.
- Reflect on and control learning processes in the group.
- Analyze and adapt joint learning behavior through feedback.
Workload:
1 ECTS: Attendance and active participation at both workshop dates, application and reflection of methods during independent work in the team between the two dates.
