The block seminar provides an introduction to academic writing and reflects on the possibilities and difficulties of using text-generating AI. It will show how to use AI tools in a meaningful and scientifically honest way and what should definitely not be solved with text-generating AI.
The block seminar will include many practical phases in which students can put the theoretical input into practice in their own writing processes. The seminar is therefore particularly suitable for all those who are already working on a writing assignment (seminar paper, thesis, etc.). But there will also be exercises for those who are not currently working on a specific writing task.
At the end of the block seminar, students will be able to confidently carry out scientific writing processes and sensibly classify the use of text-generating AI according to what is scientifically honest and what is not.
Workload for ECTS:
- 2 ECTS: AI writing diary
- 3 ECTS: AI writing diary with extended reflection section
