“If only I had said that at the right moment!” Does this phrase sound familiar to you?

An unforeseen reaction or a spontaneous question from our opposite number can quickly trigger uncertainty and speechlessness, making an appropriate reaction almost impossible.

Especially in discussions and confrontational situations, arguing convincingly and to make oneself both vocally and physically visible.  Knowing our our own strengths creates confidence and allows us to assert ourselves – both verbally and non-verbally.

In this seminar, you will receive strategies to consciously counteract speechlessness, to react better „off- the -cuff“ and come across in a more confident and convincing manner.

Learning Objectives:

  • To make yourself heard and embody confidence.
  • To conduct discussions with balance and fairness through solution-based communication and active listening.
  • To respond rhetorically appropriately in confrontational situations.
  • To keep the overview in complex discussions.

 

Workload for ECTS:

1 ECTS: Active participation in the workshop + taking on a transfer task. In addition, a reflection sheet will be sent out before the course, which must be completed.

 

Lecturer:

Orlando Schenk works as a speech and communication coach at universities and companies throughout Germany as well as at the Akademie für gesprochenes Wort in Stuttgart as a speaker and speech coach. In his coaching in the areas of conversation and rhetoric, speaking and presentation, he combines a structured pedagogical approach with an intuitive feel for individual needs.
