Stress levels among students are steadily increasing. Students increasingly suffer from chronic stress with symptoms such as exhaustion, inner tension, nervousness or even sleep disorders. Stress prevention and stress management, self-management and time management are becoming increasingly important for students.
Main topics of the seminar are:
- Causes and effects of stress
- Recognizing and avoiding typical stress factors in everyday life
- Importance of goals, values, attitudes as well as personal thinking and behavior patterns
- Delimitation and saying no
- Methods and techniques of time and learning management
- Introduction to different relaxation methods
Workload for ECTS:
2 ECTS: Attendance at all seminar dates, active participation in the seminar and cooperation in the execution of exercises and group work. Seminar wrap-up and completion of homework. For a graded certificate, a short reflection must be prepared.
3 ECTS: Attendance at all seminar meetings, active participation in the seminar and cooperation in the execution of exercises and group work. Seminar wrap-up and completion of homework. Preparation of a reflection report.
Admission requirements:
Sufficient knowledge of German to participate in group work and through presentations and oral contributions. The seminar is intended for students of all disciplines.
Learning Objectives:
The goal is to provide students with information, methods, and techniques for stress prevention and management that will enable them to recognize stress factors, better cope with study demands and time pressures, and move more calmly through their studies. Participants will learn various relaxation methods.
Lecturer:
As a business economist, trainer for stress/time management and mindfulness as well as a systemic coach, I offer seminars on stress management and personal development as well as individual coaching sessions at HoC. My great passion is Positive Psychology, my sources of inspiration are my family, nature, books and good conversations.
