Studies show that the diverse challenges of studying can be accompanied by a high level of stress. The changed study conditions during the pandemic have exacerbated this situation, as many sporting and social opportunities that would otherwise serve as a balance can only be used to a limited extent.
“Mindful Minutes for Students” is an online mindfulness training program and includes exercises and meditations to reduce stress and strengthen resources, deal with exam anxiety and difficult feelings. In addition to the practical exercises, the seminar encourages a mindful exchange between the participants. By practicing mindfulness, it is possible to reduce the stress of studying and everyday life in the long term and to improve the ability to concentrate through increased body awareness.
As the seminar takes place online, it is possible to take part in the mindfulness training from any location. Previous experience in the field of mediation and mindfulness is not necessary.
A large number of exercises (seminar tasks) must be completed between the online sessions!
Prerequisites:
A quiet room and comfortable clothing.
Workload for ECTS:
1 ECTS: Active participation in the seminar and completion of seminar tasks.
2 ECTS: Additional preparation of a reflection report.
Lecturer:
Günter Bubbnik studied acting in Vienna and teaching math and sports at the Technical University of Munich. He now works as an actor, certified MBSR, MBCL and TAA teacher, experiential educator (TUM Expet) and lecturer for mindfulness at various universities and colleges. He has been teaching online mindfulness courses since 2016 and has been running an agency for the placement of mindfulness trainers (Mindful Minds Management GmbH) since 2018.
