Content:
This course accompanies students as part of the course “Interdisciplinary structural development in timber construction”. It offers them the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the basics of interdisciplinary teamwork in an application-oriented way, to try them out and to reflect on them.
Participation is a compulsory part of the course.
In addition, students have the opportunity to acquire a further ECTS credit for the interdisciplinary area (ÜQ).
After the course:
- you will have a basic impression of how team diversity and work success are interrelated;
- be familiar with typical problems in interdisciplinary teamwork, especially between architecture and civil engineering;
- know key strategies and tools for preventing and solving problems in collaboration and utilizing the potential of team diversity;
- be able to recognize and understand other perspectives and derive practical consequences for good interdisciplinary cooperation.
Workload for ECTS:
- Part of the course “Interdisciplinary structural development in timber construction”: active participation in impulse workshop and reflection sessions
- 1 ECTS: active participation in impulse workshop and reflection sessions + reflection report
Lecturer:
Dr. Caroline Götz is a systemic consultant, pedagogue and lecturer on the topics of learning motivation, learning methods and self-effective learning. In her dissertation, she dealt extensively with the promotion of self-efficacy in student learning processes and developed an innovative and effective podcast on the topic. She currently works at KIT as a psychosocial counselor and advises employees and doctoral candidates on personal or professional challenges
