The aim of the workshop is to be able to react faster and more precisely as well as appropriately in unpleasant situations. It is important to work against your own body impulse and to refrain from inappropriate responses and to maintain composure. Rhetoric, body language, voice and tonality are the greatest levers for a good response. Appreciative communication in quick-witted situations is practiced using many examples. The association of repartee as a pure “hit and done” is expanded with reflections on attitude and action. Experience, the ability to reflect, creativity and speed of reaction are developed using various techniques. Quick-wittedness does not just mean responding “like a shot from a gun”, but also avoiding the role of victim and refraining from using inappropriate wording. The focus of the workshop day is on getting out of unpleasant situations with confidence.

Workload for ECTS:

1 ECTS: For active participation in the workshop (attendance time) and written reflection report

Lecturer:

As a qualified banker, certified business trainer and trained entrepreneur coach (solution-focused and systemic coaching), I am an expert in soft skills. These are just as important as professional skills, especially when working with people. Whether in business, in NPOs or in private life, these skills are often required in order to appear successful and charismatic, to be recognized or simply to make a good impression. My seminars are designed to be interactive, with lots of individual and group exercises, self-reflection and discussions. Students are given the opportunity to deal with their questions, issues and experiences in a protected environment and to develop strategies on how they can manage their everyday lives more effectively.
