“Leading in times of change” is a topical issue to which a monastic rule that is over 1,500 years old can contribute in many ways. In this seminar, we will visit the Benedictine monastery of Münsterschwarzach and learn about the Benedictine method of leadership. It is not about classic leadership instruments, but about the basics and freedom of leading and being led. If you want to lead others, you must first be able to lead yourself. Leadership here is not a career path, but a personal maturing process.
The monastic atmosphere invites you to reflect on your own views and discover new perspectives. In addition to self-reflection and mindfulness, central chapters of the Rule of the Order are presented and discussed in terms of their practicality. The focus will be on questions such as: How do changes succeed? How do you deal with setbacks? And how do you strengthen cooperation in difficult decisions and conflicts?
Monks from the monastery will be on hand to provide inspiration, give talks and take part in discussions. We also get to know the monastery as a sustainable business and take part in the rhythm of monastery life by alternating seminar units and times of reflection.
