The goal of the workshop is to be able to react faster and more precisely as well as appropriately in unpleasant situations. It is important to work against one’s own body impulse and to refrain from inappropriate answers as well as to maintain composure. Rhetoric, body language, voice and tonality are the biggest levers for a good response. Many examples are used to practice appreciative communication in quick-witted situations. The association of repartee as a mere “hit and be done” is expanded with reflections on attitude and action. Experiences, reflective skills, creativity, and responsiveness are expanded with a variety of techniques. Quick-wittedness means not only to answer “as if shot out of a pistol”, but also to avoid the victim role and to refrain from inappropriate formulations. Coming out of unpleasant situations confidently is the focus of the workshop day.

Lecturer:

As a graduated banker, certified business trainer and trained entrepreneur coach (solution-focused and systemic coaching), I am an expert in soft-skills. These have an equally enormous value next to the professional orientation, especially when working with people. Whether in business, in NPO’s or in private life, these skills are often in demand in order to appear successful and charismatic, to be recognized or simply to appear good. My seminars are interactive, with many individual and group exercises, self-reflections and conversations. Students are given the opportunity to address their questions, issues and experiences in a protected setting and to develop strategies on how to manage their everyday life more effectively.
