With mini-workshops and the Impuls Café exchange format, the Leadership Talent Lab’s action day offers plenty of inspiration as to which skills and competencies we can unleash in order to live good leadership. The motto for all the activities is therefore Courage to (learn to) lead: both the courage to take responsibility for oneself and others and the ability to lead can be learned.

Mini workshops: Taking the lead means knowing yourself

We start the day with an interactive, body-oriented examination of ourselves as individuals. Three parallel workshops invite you to engage with mindfulness, authenticity and openness for healthy self-leadership.

Mini workshops: Taking the lead means being in contact with others

In three further workshops, we will focus on leadership styles that have brought about a transformation of leadership culture in companies, together with the leaders themselves who are responsible for this change: positive leadership, mindful leadership and sustainable leadership.

Free refreshments will be provided during the lunch break, because good leadership needs good food.

Impulse Café: Taking the lead means being courageous

In the afternoon, a role model will inspire us with a keynote speech on the courage to focus on values, which influences leadership in her family business. In the World Café, we will also talk to the leaders from the previous workshops in smaller groups: What is it like to have to make courageous decisions in order to lead people and organizations well?

The day of action offers low-threshold access to the complex topic of good leadership and creates a framework for networking and exchange with other interested parties in a relaxed atmosphere and small portions.

The event takes place as part of the anniversary program “We celebrate 200 years of KIT”.

Workload for ECTS:

1 ECTS: active participation in the action day, working on a transfer task and writing a reflection report

Lecturers:

Actors from transformative research and teaching will take on the individual mini-workshops. They will share their perspectives and experiences with you in order to encourage small and large transformations.
