Overview/Objectives:

Due to our sedentary everyday life, dysfunctions in breath and voice often occur, causing discomfort when speaking. The seminar provides an insight into theory and practice and offers solutions for restoring or maintaining the physiological functions of breath/voice/speech. We are happy to address your individual topics or questions.

 

Contents:

  • theoretical/anatomical basics of breathing and voice
  • connection of posture, breath, voice, speaking
  • physiological respiration vs. pathological respiration (misbreathing)
  • voice care and voice hygiene
  • improvement of vocal and speech parameters
  • voice and speech disorders (e.g. hoarseness, polter, phonation defects, jaw tension, nodules…)
  • voice carrying capacity and resilience
  • Training of the sensorium

  • Individual work on personal situations
  • theoretical input
  • listening examples
  • overtone analyzer
  • practical voice and speech exercises
  • body and breathing exercises
  • relaxation techniques

 

Participation requirement:

Bring your voice and the desire to try your hand with it.

 

Work Expenditure:

1 ECTS: active participation + reflection video

 

Lecturer:

Fabian Eckenfels is Dipl.-Sprechwissenschaftler, scientific research and doctorate on voice, trainer for speaking/voice/vocal/body/text, as well as yoga/ fitness trainer.
