Have you completed an FSJ, FÖJ, voluntary work or (professional) internship and dealt with issues of social, economic and/or ecological sustainability in this context?

This valuable experience is far more than just a stage in your CV, it has left a lasting impression on you. But what exactly did you learn? And what does it have to do with sustainable development?

In this workshop, you will have the chance to take a second look at your social and professional commitment and make visible what was perhaps only a vague feeling until now: you will discover which skills, values and attitudes you have developed in your practical experience and how you can integrate sustainability into your studies, career and everyday life in the future.

Through self-reflection, peer-to-peer exchange and practical methods, you will develop a clear view of your strengths and your next development steps.

Focus/learning objectives:

This workshop is suitable for you if you

  • would like to consciously reflect on your practical experience related to sustainability (FSJ, FÖJ, volunteering, internship).
  • want to recognize and strengthen your personal sustainability skills.
  • want to move on from “I am committed” to “I am shaping the future”.
  • are interested in an honest exchange with other committed people.

Admission requirement:

Completion of a sustainability-related practical component of at least 90 hours in the field of social engagement or professional internship.

Workload for ECTS:

1 ECTS: Active participation in the workshop and completion of further subtasks, e.g. preparation and follow-up in the form of e-learning components, design of a reflection portfolio (total working time approx. 10 h). Material will be made available online 1 week in advance.

  • In combination with the workshop (1 ECTS), the practical experience can be credited with 3 ECTS. The course can also be credited towards the FUTUS contextual studies program.
