Overview/Objectives:

From surfboard to sailing ship: what you need to go from lone wolf to confident crew member or even captain. We will provide you with knowledge, exercises and tools so that you can move safely in groups and also feel comfortable doing so because you (know) the dynamics and potential for conflict.

• How do groups and teams work? And what does this have to do with communication?
• What do “group dynamics” and social interaction mean?
• How can I move safely in new and/or existing groups?
• How do I deal with difficulties or conflicts in my team?
• How can I make an impact authentically and professionally at the same time?
• Advantages and disadvantages of teamwork
• Theory: cooperative rhetoric (Bartsch et al.), motivational interviewing (Miller & Rollnick), non-violent communication (Rosenberg), team model (Tuckman), transactional analysis (Berne et al.), KASSIRI (body-voice-breathing, Berndonner).
