Leadership is diverse, just as we are! At the same time, individual groups and leaders are disproportionately overrepresented. These stereotypes restrict all people in their authentic leadership and diminish the competent actions of leaders. In the workshop, we empower students to develop their individual leadership. We believe that everyone has what it takes to take on positions of responsibility and that characteristics that deviate from the norm can contribute to particularly effective leadership.
Participants gain knowledge of fundamental challenges in the current leadership landscape and are able to justify them. They recognize power mechanisms based on specific examples, can identify effective levers and learn about role models, best practices and innovative approaches to leading effectively and with awareness of prejudice. They can demonstrate the importance of diversity in leadership and feminist leadership for individuals, teams and organizations and can name and explain basic principles. They will also be able to design, critically discuss and evaluate a leadership practice based on an example of their own choosing.
