Each of us is probably familiar with the experience of ‘flow’: the deep immersion in a task, the joyful experience, the satisfied feeling after completing the task. We concentrate on what we are doing and sink into the task.
Flow can be experienced in many areas of life – in sport, when learning, at work, during leisure activities such as hiking or playing chess. Time flies by, we are completely in the moment, in harmony with ourselves and the world. At the same time, such flow experiences can strengthen our psyche and our mental health.
This workshop is about how to get into ‘flow’, what constitutes the quality of flow and how flow experiences can contribute to our happiness and well-being.
Current findings on the topic of ‘flow’ and from positive psychology are presented and discussed. Based on their own flow experiences, participants develop their personal framework conditions for flow experiences, which above all can also increase efficiency and enjoyment in learning and promote our personal growth.
