Are you studying engineering at KIT and would like to gain an insight into the working world of engineers at KIT? With their work in the technical infrastructure (e.g. in facility management or planning and construction), they keep the university running and develop the infrastructure further. Together with employees and students, you can get to know the field of activity of engineers and the challenges that characterize their everyday work: planning and managing buildings, technical facilities and energy supply in the area of conflict between sustainability and economic efficiency; recruiting and motivating employees in times of a shortage of skilled workers; generational diversity in the workplace; healthy self-management in challenging times.

Various impulses and formats from and with employees, such as group work to develop concrete ideas on topics relating to the world of work at KIT, reflection discussions and a tour of the North Campus will give you an understanding of your university from the perspective of technical infrastructure employees. Maybe you’ll be interested in more and then start at KIT, e.g. with an internship, a HiWi job or as a trainee?

This workshop is primarily aimed at engineering students.

In KIT Infrastructure, engineers from various fields of study, such as economics, civil engineering, electrical engineering and others, work in a variety of tasks such as building management, energy supply, building planning, waste management, etc.
